This is by no means all computers can do, so think about your uses and then our professionals can advise you as to the appropriate specifications for your new PC.
Your next consideration is your budget. It is possible to have a high spec computer suitable for your needs without having to take out a second mortgage. Software is another consideration as this can push the budget above and beyond.
The Hardware
Memory - The amount of memory required is dependent on the applications you intend to run. A Vista Premium PC requires 1 GB of system memory, and with falling prices this amount is quickly becoming the norm.
Processer (CPU) - The processor is the brains of a computer and its speed is measured in megahertz (MHz). A Vista Premium PC requires a 1 GHz 32-bit (x86) or 64-bit (x64) processor).
Motherboard - A motherboard allows all the parts of your computer to receive power and communicate with one another.
Everything that runs the computer or enhances its performance is either part of the motherboard or plugs into it via a slot or port. Some motherboards have additional devices built into them and are known as “all-in-one” motherboards. With these you usually do not need to buy a separate sound card or graphics card. This makes an economical option.
It is important that your motherboard, CPU, memory and hard drive specifications all compliment each other to gain stability and overall performance.
